The single best way to prevent seasonal flu is to get vaccinated each year. Harris County employees be prepared this year by getting your flu shot.

You May Receive A Flu Shot At NO COST:
" If you are a Harris County employee, retiree or dependent (9 years and older) covered by the Harris County Medical Plan (Aetna).
" You MUST present your Aetna insurance card to receive the flu shot at NO COST.
OR
" If you are a new, full-time employee NOT YET covered by the Harris County Medical Plan but within your 90-day probation period.
" You MUST present your County ID badge to receive the flu shot at NO COST.

For all other individuals, the flu shot may be purchased for a fee of $25.

Seasonal flu vaccine protects against the three seasonal viruses that research suggests will be most common. This vaccine will NOT protect you against the H1N1 virus.
