COURSE TITLE:
Microsoft ® PowerPoint 2003 Level II
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Microsoft ® PowerPoint 2003 is a presentation graphics application that combines slides, handouts, notes, and outlines all in one topic file. You can add text, graphics, photos, clip art, sound and video to the text material on slides.
PRE-REQUISITES:
Ability to use the Windows operating system is a prerequisite for any computer course other than the Basic Computer course.
> Microsoft ® Word & PowerPoint 2003 Level I taken prior to PowerPoint Level II.
CLASS TIME:
8:00 am - 3:00 pm
OBJECTIVES for MS PowerPoint Level II:
At the end of this class the participant will be able to:
_ Create presentations by using basic presentation guidelines and recommendations
_ Create a custom template
_ Enhance a presentation by using graphic objects
_ Create and edit a Word table as an embedded object within PowerPoint
_ Work with Excel charts, both as embedded and imported objects
_ Use advanced drawing techniques to create flowcharts
_ Customize the PowerPoint environment by modifying toolbars and using the Options dialog box
_ Work with the Internet and hyperlinks
_ Enhance a presentation by applying animation effects to graphics
_ Bring PowerPoint meeting notes into Word by using the meeting minder feature
LOCATION:
BETA Classroom located in the main Organizational Development Pavilion
TARGET AUDIENCE:
All TGH employees; each class is limited to 11 participants.
COURSE FEE: Free to TGH employees who follow these steps:
>You must sign a 'Payroll Deduction Form' before your registration is confirmed.
>You must cancel your class registration by e-mail to psegraves@tgh.org or writing to Paula Segraves 7 days before class date.
>You will be charged the course fee of ($45.00) if you are a 'No Show'.
PARTICIPANT CREDIT HOURS:
All Participants: 6.0 Attendance Credits
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS and STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Registration required using the TGH Secured Peopleware Internet Website: www.peopleware.net/0364.
2) Fill out, Sign, & Turn in a Payroll Deduction form to be included on the class roster.
3) Class dates are subject to change and class may be cancelled due to low class attendance
