COURSE TITLE: CCRN Certification Exam Review Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This lecture series provides the currently practicing critical care nurse with a review of AACN's Core Curriculum. The instructor will review anatomy and physiology, physical assessment (including hemo-dynamic monitoring and utilization of invasive assessment tools), and patho-physiology following a systems approach. Systems included are Cardiac, Pulmonary, Neurological, Renal Endocrine, Hematological, Gastrointestinal, Psychological and Legal aspects of critical care nursing.  This review is NOT an introduction to the environment of the intensive care unit, but a comprehensive update for the professional nurse already practicing at the critical care bedside and preparing to take the CCRN Certification Examination.

OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
>Recall anatomy and physiology as it relates to critical care nursing interventions
>Utilize physical assessment skills (hemo-dynamic monitoring and invasive assessment tools
>Relate patient's signs and symptoms to altered patho-physiology and disease process
>Discuss all major body systems that are altered by disease process
>Implement nursing care interventions and legal aspects related to care provided

TARGET AUDIENCE: Experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses preparing to take the ANCC Critical Care RN Certification Examination. This review is NOT an introduction to the environment of the intensive care unit, but a comprehensive update for the professional nurse already practicing at the critical care bedside and preparing to take the CCRN Certification Examination.

COURSE FEES:  TGH RN's and MacDill AFB Nurses (bring military ID) =No Charge.
All other Registered Nurses $99.00.
