GETTING STARTED WITH BASIC DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Date: Thursdays, November 12 - December 17, 2009 (5 sessions, no class on Nov. 26,2009)
Time: 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: UW Oshkosh Campus, Polk IDEA Lab and Swart 217
Fee: $99 General Public, $94 UW Oshksoh Alumni & Students
Learn how to use your camera and computer to view pictures you have taken. In this five-session course you will learn how your camera functions with emphasis on the controls, what makes it work, and each week how you can make your pictures look better by sharpening your visual skills. Bring your camera and camera connecting cable to learn cable fundamentals, depth of field, lighting and composition techniques. You will also learn how to use storage devices, how to organize files and how to use image-editing software.
Early registration is recommended. All program fees are due no later than 10 days before the program. Fees include instruction, parking and instructional handouts.
Registration deadline: Your registration is requested 10 days prior to each program. After that date, call the Office of Continuing Education and Extension to determine program availability. Enrollment is limited.

Cancellation policy: If UW Oshkosh's Office of Continuing Education and Extension receives notice of cancellation 10 full business days before the start of a program, you will receive a full refund of fees minus a $15 processing charge. No refunds will be made for cancellations received less than 10 full business days before the program begins. Substitutions for these programs are accepted. If possible, please inform us of such substitutions before the program. UW Oshkosh reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment, as well as the right to limit enrollment due to demand.
