Our program is designed to help you become a top-notch golf turf manager. We will help you:
To develop a better understanding of the science behind the cultural practices utilized by golf course superintendents;
To refine and develop technical skills that are applicable to the art of greenskeeping, and immediately useful in the management of golf turf;
To better manage communication and human resource management challenges;
To become familiar with the ongoing research and development of golf and fine turf at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and better utilize the libraries, soil and plant testing labs, and other outreach services of the university;
To explore career opportunities in turfgrass management and attain your specific job and career objectives.
Our students also will have the opportunity to develop a network of industry support and friendship among their classmates, Rutgers Turfgrass Alumni and the golf turf industry worldwide.
