Four credit course. A study of the development of modern ideas of mental illness, the origins of mental illnesses, the diagnostic system and the clinical syndromes, and methods of treatment of neuropsychiatric disorder. This course does not produce diagnosticians of mental illness, but is a preparation for the clinical study of diagnosis. 6 assignments, 3 examsRecommended Prerequisites: Psy 200 and 204, Stat 243 and 244, and at least 6 additional credits in psychology, including Psy 321.
