Legal Issues in Mental Health Care in Ontario, October 5 - November 22, 2009
This seven-week course provides an understanding of key legal issues in mental health care in Ontario, in the context of clinical, ethical, organizational and systemic factors. It is for health care practitioners, who must be constantly mindful of their legal obligations—including admission, treatment, discharge and health records—in order to respond effectively to clients’ rights and empower them to make their own health care decisions.
